Superwrap/LIQUIDSHIELD DIY Aerosols

It depends on the project you want to do and the color you want to spray.
We have 5 pre-built kits: Up to 17in Wheels, 18-19in Wheels, 20-22in Wheels, Mirrors and Accessory Kits.
If your project is something different than what’s listed above, please provide our support team with more information and we’ll be able to help you out.
If the project is one of the 5 listed above, simply go to our shop page, choose your color and then, choose the kit.

Our Superwrap DIY aerosols are formulated to be applied on wheels, motorcycle parts (gas tank, fairings, fenders), bicycle frame and accessories (trims, grills, emblems, mirrors, calipers) only.

Our LiquidShield DIY aerosols are formulated to be applied on wheels, partial hood and accessories (grills, mirrors) only.

Our LiquidShield headlight protection aerosols can be applied on headlights only.

We make specific base coat recommendations per color and finishes as to make your experience of spraying Superwrap DIY aerosols easier, and for the colors to match what we show you. Our base coats are also required for proper removability. Even if your surface is already black, grey or white, you’ll need the Base Coats first. See base coats requirements in each listings.

The High Gloss Clear is optional. The Superwrap High Gloss Clear was designed to increase durability and ease of maintenance of the various colors in the Solid, Metallic and Liquid Metallic Series. The Top Coat is a protective layer that prevents loss of gloss due to its increased UV and chemical resistance and makes cleaning wheels and accessories easier.

Any of our Color Series can be turned into a slick matte finish by using our Satin Clear. It can be applied over any of our color series. The Satin Clear Coat is required to obtain a Satin/Matte finish, without it, the finish will be gloss out of the can.
Keep in mind that the Top Coat cannot be used on its own. The top coat is a finition coat which was developed to be applied over the vinyl. It needs to be applied over the recommended thickness of Superwrap’s color.

Our DIY aerosol formula is designed specifically for the automotive industry and is tested on clear coated surfaces used by OEM car manufacturers including alloy wheels, chromed plastics, clear coated carbon fibre and metal surfaces.

Our DIY aerosol is engineered to deliver low pressure for ease of application on small surfaces such as wheels and accessories. We do not recommend using it for complete body panel applications.

If you’re applying on a chrome surface, make sure to completely strip the waxes and polishes commonly used to protect your chromed wheels or accessories using our Prep Spray. If any wax or polish is left over on the surface, you will have adherence issues. These products are contaminants that can create fisheyes, adherence issues and other surface imperfections.

For surfaces that are not officially tested by DVG Brands, we recommend that you test spray, let dry and peel on an inconspicuous area to confirm surface compatibility. If you are unsure whether your surface is clear coated, we recommend you contact your local dealership to confirm.

Superwrap is compatible with smooth undamaged powder-coated surfaces. Unfortunately, Superwrap can’t be applied over ceramic-coated surfaces. Ceramic Coatings’ nano technology is meant to protect paint from chemicals, by sealing the paint. Superwrap’s chemical composition is incompatible with these coatings and will not properly adhere to the ceramic coated surface. With that being said, some customers have tried it with great results. However, we cannot guarantee that all ceramic coated wheels will react the same.

Do not apply our products on non-clear coated surfaces
such as vinyl wraps, stickers, rough plastics, and plastic or laminated center caps. If you have aftermarket wheels, always test an inconspicuous area first to determine surface compatibility.

We do not recommend applying to bumpers due to the various materials and types of clear coats used on bumpers which may result in an incompatibility with the solvents in our products. If you move forward with your bumper application, you may do so however DVG Brands cannot guarantee the finish quality and/or durability of the product. We highly recommend testing the compatibility on a small, inconspicuous area to avoid any finish or peeling issues.

For every surface, it’s always recommended to test spray, let dry and peel on an inconspicuous area to confirm surface compatibility.

Superwrap is a self leveling product that will not fill in imperfections such as curbed rash, scratches and dents. Such surface imperfections may damage the wrap or cause the wrap to be less durable or removable. We do not recommend sanding down the imperfections or damaged areas as it might get rid of the clearcoat and compromise our products’ adherence, durability and ability to peel.

Superwrap’s vinyl based proprietary formula enables Superwrap to offer high gloss, smooth finishes straight out of the can in a one-step application. Rubber based products are only available in Matte finish. The rubber based makes these coatings very porous, grippy and hard to keep clean.

The Superwrap DIY aerosols were developed to last up to 2 years and have shown great protection characteristics against road debris, rocks, salt, chemicals and UV exposure. We’ve also developed our high performance Top Coat (High Gloss Clear and Satin Clear) to increase UV, chemical and scratch resistance. It can be applied over any of our color series that has reached the minimum required thickness.

Durability will vary depending on your application and usage. Always keep in mind Superwrap was formulated as a temporary color change solution – not a replacement for traditional paint!

Extreme conditions such as off-roading, harsh winters, competitive use may diminish durability.

Keep in mind winter usage will reduce the expected durability of Superwrap. You should apply additional coats (12+ total) of Superwrap along with our recommended number of wet coats of the Top Coat Series.

We do not recommend spraying before your tire change as most tire changing machines require direct, rotational contact with the sprayed wheels which will cause lifting of the spray wrap. Lifting may be avoided with careful mounting of the tires and by using a touchless tire mounting machine.

We would recommend spraying after your tire change and simply masking the tires with masking tape as shown in our how-to page: www.getsuperwrap.com/how-to-apply

Please get in touch with our Support Team so we can investigate the situation and find the culprit. We understand errors may happen with a Do-It-Yourself sprayable & removable product, and we’re here to help! Please provide pictures, order number and detailed application process.

All standard Superwrap DIY Color Series offer a one-step high gloss finish. However, any of our Color Series can be turned into a slick satin finish by using our Satin Clear

The Satin Clear was formulated to provide the perfect balance between matte and satin finishes, and comes in at 25 degrees of gloss – the perfect sheen!

A gloss finish that turns into a matte/hazy finish is due to applying light coats instead of wet coats. Indeed, applying too light coats creates a mist and can turn the gloss finish to a matte one.

The haziness can also be due to a high humidity environment. If this happens, we recommend you wait until humidity levels lower to finish the application. Make sure you are applying at a low humidity level (lower than 60%).

If your application dries out to a matte finish, contact the Support team for further assistance.

Unfortunately, custom color matches are not available with Superwrap DIY aerosols.

Please view our Gallery section on our website to see photos and videos of our color range: http://getsuperwrap.com/gallery/ or contact the Support team for them to help you get a close match.

We will offer the possibility to match an existing Paint code with our Superwrap Ready-to-Spray Gallons. Stay tuned.

* If you experience bubbling/wrinkling, please stop your application and contact the Support team.

Bubbles/wrinkles during application are called fisheyes. They are the result of surface contamination due to insufficient cleaning and drying of the surface. If there are any signs of fisheyes, wipe down the surface, thoroughly clean and dry the surface and reapply Superwrap. We recommend shaking the aerosol for one (1) full minute and doing a light first coat, commonly called a tack coat, to look for fisheyes.

We highly recommend using our Prep Spray/wipes for complete decontamination of your surface in order to eliminate any potential contaminants such as silicone found in tire shine, waxes and sealants. Alcohol (IPA) and wheel cleaners might not be sufficient to properly decontaminate your surface.

Make sure to thoroughly wash and rinse the surface with low acid cleaner to remove loose dirt and debris. Wipe the surface dry with a clean microfibre cloth. Then, apply Superwrap Preparation Spray generously over the entire surface. Let the product sit for one (1) minute. Wipe surface dry with a clean microfibre cloth. The underlying surface must be thoroughly cleaned and dried to remove all dirt, debris and wax residue that may hinder Superwrap’s ability to adhere and cause fish eyes during installation.

Do not use household soaps to wash your surface. Do not combine our Prep Spray with another solvent-based product as it could be harmful for the surface and non-compatible with Superwrap’s formula.

Being a DIY product, Superwrap cannot control use of this product and will not accept liability for more than product replacement.

Superwrap’s formula is designed specifically for the automotive industry and is tested on clear coated surfaces used by OEM car manufacturers including clear coated body panels, alloy wheels, chromed plastics, clear coated carbon fibre and metal surfaces such as wheels. Superwrap won’t damage your clearcoat/paint when applied on these surfaces.

We do not recommend spraying on non-OEM clercoated surfaces such as vinyl, rubber, plastics or laminated centercaps.

No, you can’t put a regular clear coat on Superwrap but, we got something for you!
We have designed the perfect clear coat that match our Superwrap formula. You can find it here: High Gloss Clear
Our products are all High Gloss straight out of the can. The High Gloss Clear is an optional product that adds sheen and resistance: UV, scratch and chemical.

Even if your last coat is dry to the touch, it is critical that you follow our instructions for Superwrap’s overall quality that you wait 10 to 15 minutes before applying the next coat and at least 30min to 1h before applying the Top Coat.

Superwrap is easy to peel off when applied with the recommended thickness (10+ wet coats). Simply work an edge until the coat begins to lift, then slowly work your way around the wheel or accessory. Superwrap will come off in large pieces when properly applied. If needed, you can also use a power washer to remove the small pieces that could be remaining on the surface.
Pro tips: It’s easier to peel the wrap if it is sitting at room temperature (68F+) for at least 1h.

High humidity and temperature will influence Superwrap’s gloss levels. Just make sure to always avoid spraying in a high humid environment.

We recommend spraying in temperatures 68-82F and with a humidity level below 60%.

For optimal application, we suggest you read our How to Spray section.

Superwrap can be applied on chromed surfaces. Simply make sure to completely strip the waxes and polishes commonly used to protect your chromed wheels or accessories using our Prep Spray.

If any wax or polish is left over on the surface, you will have adherence issues. These products are contaminants that can create fish eyes, adherence issues and other surface imperfections.

Superwrap is a self-leveling product that will not fill in imperfections such as curbed rash, scratches and dents so it may still be visible. Applying on curb rash can compromise the finish, durability and peelability. You can still apply it on the curbed areas, but, keep in mind that it may be harder to peel off on these spots.

If you wish to fix the curbed areas, we would recommend using a coarse grit, and work you way up to 1500 grit. At 1500 grit, you may begin to slightly blend area with the rest of the wheel and continue up to 2K in order to get as smooth of a finish as possible.

No, Superwrap cannot be applied to mounted wheels on a car. You must remove the wheels from the car in order to remove the centercaps, remove the lugs, and properly mask the inner barrel.

Applying Superwrap with the wheels off the car and laying flat makes installation much easier and gives a professional looking finish.

Yes. You must mask off the tires with either tape or cards. You can check out our How-to Spray section for more info: https://getsuperwrap.com/how-to-spray/

We do not recommend applying Superwrap to exhaust tips and mufflers as the high temperature will compromise Superwrap’s finish and ability to peel off.

We do not recommend to use aerosol for full body applications as the surface is too large to evenly apply.

Our DIY aerosols are formulated to be applied on wheels and accessories (trims, grills, emblems, mirrors, calipers) only.
However, we do have Full-Body Kits using our RTS Gallons.

Yes, Superwrap can be applied to brake calipers. Simply keep in mind that the excessive heat generated by aggressive driving such as track racing may compromise Superwrap’s finish and ability to peel. Superwrap DIY aerosols are rated up to 420F. Only apply on brake calipers that are clearcoated as it might be difficult to peel off on other surfaces.

If you’re spraying 2 calipers, we would recommend our Accessory kit. If you’re spraying 4 calipers, we would recommend our up to 17in Wheel kit.

We don’t have a video for calipers yet, but we do have how-to instructions.

Superwrap cannot be applied on non-clearcoated surfaces such as stickers, plastics, or laminated center caps.

Do not use Superwrap on soft surfaces such as leather, alcantara, suede, cloth, etc. As most interior trims are made out of plastics, we do not recommend applying Superwrap on these surfaces as we cannot guarantee the compatibility, finish or peelability.

Yes, you can apply Superwrap over previously applied Superwrap colors. Simply make sure to clean the surface beforehand.

Superwrap can be applied during winter. You should however apply additional coats (12+ total) for superior durability – you will need to add 1 can to the kits. Make sure the ambient temperature during application and drying is between 68-82F.

You can check out this Winter Usage video: https://youtu.be/eGpkTJ4FQcc

When it comes to emblems, badges, and trims, it is important to first test the surface compatibility with Superwrap. These surfaces are made of a variety of different plastics, composites and metals across different manufacturers. Superwrap cannot be applied on non-clearcoated surfaces such as stickers, plastics, or laminated center caps. Superwrap will work fine on chromed emblems.

We don’t have a video for emblems yet, but we do have how-to instructions.

We would recommend trying our Prep Spray in order to remove overspray.

Yes! Touching up Superwrap finishes is easy. If your Superwrap surface becomes scratched, touch-up the imperfection by applying enough coats to color-match the affected area.

Here’s our How-to Touch Up Wheels video: https://youtu.be/7PBvmnJGoyM

We do not recommend going through automatic car washes. Many customers have gone through touch-less traditional car washes without any issues, however given there is no general standardization for pressure, soaps and waxes used, we suggest caring for your Superwrap surface yourself with Superwrap Maintenance Products or any non-acidic wheel cleaner.

Surfaces that were spray wrapped with Superwrap can be pressure washed as long as the coating is not torn or chipped. Excessive pressure may damage the Superwrap paint. Avoid spraying the edges of the film as it may cause lifting.

No. We do not recommend waxing or polishing an Superwrap paint as the products may contain ingredients that can damage your Superwrap finish.

At this moment, we do not make any custom colors/ we do not offer color matches.

You can check our Gallery section to match the color you want to what we offer at www.getsuperwrap.com/gallery or you can also send us a picture of the color you’re looking for.

As mentioned on our website, our kits are calculated to cover the faces of the wheels only. If your wheels are multispokes or complex, we highly recommend going up a kit. We do not recommend spraying the inner barrel of the wheels since there’s less durability due to lack of adherence. The inner barrel is an area of the wheel that is highly contaminated by the greases, brake dust and other contaminants. Even with an exhaustive wash, they might have some residues left which will compromise the adhesion of the product to your barrel.

As stated on the back of the can, Superwrap is to be applied to OEM clearcoated surfaces or metal surfaces. We do not recommend applying Superwrap to plastic surfaces since they might be an incompatibility with the solvents in the product.

You may apply Superwrap aerosols to your door handle as long as they are clear coated. Don’t forget that you are spraying for wrap thickness, not only color coverage. That being said, we recommend applying a total of 10 wet coats in order to obtain the advertised result, durability and for proper peelability.

Keep in mind that door handles may be less durable due to daily contact with the surface.

We recommend spraying Superwrap on OEM clearcoated or metal surfaces only. We do not recommend spraying on non-clearcoated surfaces such as stickers, rubber, plastics and laminated center caps. With that being said, we do not recommend applying Superwrap over Plastidip since Plastidip is made out of Rubber. Applying Superwrap over rubber may compromise its durability, finish and ability to peel.

If you decide to move forward with your application, Superwrap cannot guarantee the outcome of it and cannot be held responsible.

Can I apply a sticker on Superwrap’s finish?

Yes, you can apply stickers over Superwrap.

We suggest letting the product cure for up to 7 days before applying any graphics in order to give it the best chance of peeling without lifting the Superwrap.

The adherence of vinyl stickers is very variable so we cannot guarantee compatibility.

We would suggest to properly protect the wheels themselves and concentrate the tire shine on the tire itself. Theoretically, cured Superwrap (at least 5 days) shouldn’t react poorly to tire shine, but we wouldn’t recommend using it directly on the Superwrap surface to be sure it won’t affect the wrap’s adherence, finish or removability.

If you haven’t applied Superwrap on your wheels yet, use our Prep Spray to make sure the surface isn’t contaminated by the tire shine.

Superwrap Ready-To-Spray Gallons

Superwrap RTS is vinyl-based while other peelable paints available for DIY and professionals are rubber-based.
Our unique formula gives Superwrap RTS the ability to achieve satin or high gloss finishes out of the gun with unmatched color deepness, surface smoothness and slickness.
Vinyl is also proven to be far easier to wash and keep clean than rubber-based products as the chemical composition of rubber makes it porous and grippy, which results in a very intense accumulation of dust and dirt on the surface.

The Superwrap Ready-To-Spray series is available on www.getsuperwrap.com and is shipped to the continental US only, except in the State of California due to VOC regulations. It is not available in Canada.
We are working on a Low-VOC version for Canada and California. Stay tuned.

Superwrap RTS have over 40 options of rich and deep colors available. We offer solid, pearlescent and metallic colors. All our colors are available with our signature high gloss or satin finish.

We offer 3 different color series: Solid, Metallic and Liquid Metallic.

The Superwrap RTS Color Coat can have color pigments mixed into it from 3rd parties. However, keep in mind mixing with pigments unapproved or untested by Superwrap may lead to diminished performance of Superwrap.

Superwrap will not honor any claims from such usage.

Superwrap RTS can be applied on body panels, wheels, primer surfaces and any other surfaces that is clear coated. *Automotive use only

Superwrap RTS formula is designed specifically for the automotive industry and is tested on clear coated surfaces used by OEM car manufacturers and metal surfaces. For surfaces that are not officially tested by Superwrap, we recommend that you test spray, let dry and peel on an inconspicuous area to confirm surface compatibility. If you are unsure whether your surface is clear coated, we recommend you contact your local dealership to confirm.

Do not apply Superwrap on non-clear coated surfaces such as vinyl wraps, stickers, rough plastics, and plastic or laminated center caps.

We do not recommend applying on dents and rusted surfaces. We highly recommend to repair dents and rust areas on your car before applying Superwrap RTS as dents will show through and rust will compromise Superwrap RTS durability and might create chemical reactions with the product as Superwrap RTS is solvent based. Superwrap RTS is not designed to replace standard automotive paint. Please contact our support team for more information.

No, Superwrap RTS application process does not require dismounting parts of the car. If you are comfortable with removing grills, emblems, or anything that would need to be extensively masked off, we recommend doing it since it will save you a lot of preparation and masking time.

Yes, Superwrap RTS is used by both DIY and bodyshops to change the color of their cars. Even with very little experience, if you follow our instructions and use our how-to-apply videos to guide you through the process, you will succeed… and if you don’t, you can quickly try again! Superwrap RTS is peelable, if you make a mistake, you can peel it off!
If it’s your first spraying experience, we highly recommend buying more and testing on a panel prior to applying it on your whole car. Practice makes perfect!

Yes. Your body shop is also welcomed to apply to become an Installer under our Wholesale section of the website.

Superwrap RTS is chemically formulated to safely adhere to automotive OEM clear coats and metal surfaces without the need for potentially paint damaging adhesives. The product chemically adheres to the surface while it’s drying, allowing a much safer removal process.

Superwrap RTS was developed to be a completely seamless color change system, no matter the size of the surface to be covered.

Yes, Superwrap RTS formula is designed specifically for automotive applications and is tested on clear coated and primer surfaces used by OEM car manufacturers.

If you plan on applying Superwrap RTS on aftermarket wheels, repainted body panels or non-automotive plastics, please test on an inconspicuous area before performing the full application.

We recommend waiting at least 180 days after a repaint before applying Superwrap RTS.

Superwrap RTS is the ultimate way to change the color of your car and protect the underlying paint from scratches, chips, UV and chemicals.

Yes. We recommend using Superwrap Quick Spray Wax as it was specifically developed to be most effective and compatible with Superwrap RTS’ self-healing technology.

Yes, if the product is fully dried and if you applied enough layers you can perform a 3 step polishing

It depends on the project you want to do and the color you want to spray.

We have 5 pre-built kits: Compact, Coupe/Sedan, Full-size, Small Truck/SUV, Large Truck/SUV.

For single body panels, all sizing guides are provided in each color listings.

If your project is something different than what’s listed above, please provide our support team (info@getsuperwrap.com) with more information and we’ll be able to help you out. If the project is one listed above, simply go to our shop page, choose your color and then, choose the kit.

Superwrap RTS can be applied with HVLP systems or Airless systems (electric sprayers). When using an HVLP system, we recommend using a tip between 1.3mm and 1.8mm at a pressure of 30psi to 35psi. Always test your spraying settings before starting your full application.

Superwrap RTS needs to be sprayed in a well ventilated area. Always obey local safety and environmental regulations in the application and disposal of Superwrap RTS products. Always wear respiratory protection equipment.

Superwrap RTS’ smooth finish makes it easy to clean and maintain. We suggest caring for your Superwrap surface yourself with a gentle PH balanced soap. We recommend applying it on a microfibre towel. * Avoid using household soaps to wash/clean your surface.

Yes, however we highly recommend that you avoid aiming for the edges of the film as it may cause lifting of Autoguard Premium.

Yes, however most automatic car washes use low-grade soap and waxes, potentially damaging your Superwrap RTS. For these reasons, we highly recommend you hand wash your Superwrap RTS.

The Superwrap RTS was developed to last up to 2 years and as shown great protection characteristics against road debris, rocks, salt, chemical and UV exposure. Superwrap RTS is highly UV resistant. Thanks to our high-grade automotive pigments and UV protection technology. We developed our high performance Clear Coats (High Gloss and Satin) to increase UV, chemical and scratch resistance. It can be applied over any of our color series. Durability will vary depending on your application and usage. Always keep in mind superwrap was formulated as a temporary color change solution – not a replacement for traditional paint! Extreme conditions such as off-roading, harsh winters, competitive use will diminish durability.

Superwrap RTS has been real-life tested in harsh winter conditions in Canada. However, if you will drive your car during winter we recommend being careful for rocker panels, wheel wells and lower bumpers when applying the product. Keep in mind winter usage will reduce the expected durability of Superwrap. You should apply additional coats (12+ total) of Superwrap and go up a kit along with our recommended number of wet coats of the Clear Coats.

Superwrap RTS has passed standardized solvent tests without any detrimental effects such as water and soap spotting, acid spotting, gasoline, acetone and other harsh solvents.
