    • DISCLAMER

      • The Superwrap Ready-To-Spray Series is for single panel, wheels and accessories applications only. For automative use only. Superwrap RTS needs to be sprayed in a well ventilated area. Always obey local safety and environmental regulations in the application and disposal of Superwrap RTS products. Always wear respiratory protection equipment. The Superwrap Ready-To-Spray is not available in the state of California due to VOC regulations.
    • PREPARATION IS KEY TO A PROFESSIONAL LOOKING, DURABLE APPLICATION

Remove the wheels and lay them flat on the ground. Rinse surface to remove loose dirty and debris. Wipe surface dry with a clean microfibre cloth. Remove center-caps.

Apply Superwrap Preparation Spray generously over the entire surface. Let the product sit for one (1) minute. Wipe surface dry with a clean microfibre cloth. The underlying surface must be thoroughly cleaned and dried to remove all dirt, debris and wax residue that may hinder Superwrap’s ability to adhere and cause fish eyes during installation. Do not sand the surface prior to application. Make sure to thoroughly dry the gap between the tire and the wheel.

    • MASKING

Extensively mask off surrounding areas (including tires, valve stems, inner-wheel barrel, etc.) to avoid overspray. Use a plastic card or your finger to tuck the tape into the gap between the tire and the wheel.

    • COMMON ISSUES

      • Leftover tire-shine, wax, soap or moisture on the surface prior to spraying will cause lack of adherence and fish eyes which results in bubbling and eventual tearing of the Superwrap finish.

    • FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY TO GET THE SIGNATURE SUPERWRAP FINISH

Use a screwdriver to carefully open the quarts. Stir the Base Coat for 30 seconds. Always consult our Base Coats recommendations or Shop-By-Kits at www.getsuperwrap.com/ready-to-spray/.

Adjust your gun pressure to 15-20 PSI. Use a 1.8mm to 2.0mm nozzle. Adjust your gun to the desired fan width and fluid control.

Do not spray in breezy, humid or sunny conditions. Test spray away from the surface you are spraying before each coat. Apply a light first coat. Inspect the first coat for signs of surface contamination. Apply 5 wet coats of Base Coat. Cover the face and the interior of the spokes. Hold the gun 6 to 8 inches from surface. Moving the gun back and forth, overlap each stroke to get an even and wet appearance. Establish a repeatable pattern when spraying your wheels. Allow a 10 to 15 minute drying period between coats.

Avoid excess overlapping and spraying too close to prevent drips and sags.

    • SURFACE COMPATIBILITY

      • ALWAYS TEST ON AN INCONSPICUOUS AREA BEFORE APPLYING. IF YOUR WHEELS AND ACCESSORIES HAVE BEEN REPAINTED WITHIN THE LAST 90 DAYS, DO NOT APPLY SUPERWRAP. DO NOT APPLY SUPERWRAP ON NON-CLEARCOATED SURFACES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO VINYL WRAPS, STICKERS, RAW PLASTICS, RAW BADGES AND PLASTIC CENTER CAPS. IF YOUR WHEELS ARE AFTERMARKET, TEST ON AN INCONSPICUOUS AREA FIRST TO DETERMINE SURFACE COMPATIBILITY. IF YOU ARE UNSURE WHETHER YOUR SURFACE IS CLEARCOATED, WE RECOMMEND YOU CONTACT YOUR LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO CONFIRM.
    • FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

      • DO I REALLY NEED A BASE COAT?

        Yes!
We make specific base coat recommendations per color and finishes as to make your experience of spraying Superwrap RTS easier, and for the colors to match what we show you.

Our base coats are also required for proper removability specifically on Metallic or Liquid Metallic Series. Even if your surface is already black or white, you'll need the Base Coats first.

      • CAN I USE A TURBINE SPRAY GUN WITH RTS SERIES?

No, you need to use a professional spray gun as our RTS Series needs to be sprayed with high pressure. Our base and color coats needs to be sprayed from a range of 15 to 20 psi and the clear coat needs to be applied from 30 to 35 psi. The Turbine Spray Gun will not work for our formula because the delivered pressure is too low.

    • TECH TIPS

      • BEFORE SPRAYING THE FACE OF THE WHEEL, APPLY 3-4 COATS ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE EDGES OF YOUR RIM SPOKES. THEY WILL DRASTICALLY REDUCE THE POTENTIAL CHANCES OF HAVING THE DIP ON THE EDGE OF YOUR WHEEL BARREL LIFT WHEN PUT UNDER HIGH WATER PRESSURE.
  • Step 5: Maintain
    • MAINTAIN

Only use Superwrap maintenance products in order to properly maintain your premium finish. Use of unapproved products may damage your Superwrap finish.
Visit our STORE section for more information.

    • TECH TIPS

      • Superwrap maintenance products can be safely used on Superwrap as well as your original paint and parts.
      • Avoid gas drips as it may stain your Superwrap finish.
      • If your Superwrap finish is torn or damaged, do not expose the affected surface to high water pressure as it will compromise Superwrap's adherence.
    • Touch Ups

      SCRATCHES/STAINS
If your Superwrap surface becomes scratched or stained, touch-up the imperfection by applying enough coats to color-match the affected area. Usually 2 to 4 coats would suffice to hide the scratch or stain.

      CHIPS
If your Superwrap surface becomes chipped, touch-up the imperfection by applying a minimum of 6 coats to repair the affected area.

      TEARS
If your Superwrap surface becomes torn, it is a clear sign that preparation of your surface was not optimal or Superwrap was not applied thick enough. We recommend peeling the entire wheel or accessory and respraying the wheel or accessory.

  • Step 6: PEEL
    • PEELING SUPERWRAP IS QUICK AND EASY

Work an edge until the coat begins to lift, then slowly work your way around the wheel or accessory. Superwrap will come off in large pieces when properly applied. Most wheels will peel under 10 minutes. If needed, use a power washer to remove the small pieces that could be remaining on the surface. No solvent is required.
