    • PREPARATION IS KEY TO A PROFESSIONAL LOOKING, DURABLE APPLICATION

Remove the wheels and lay them flat on the ground. Rinse surface to remove loose dirty and debris. Wipe surface dry with a clean microfibre cloth. Remove center-caps.

Apply Superwrap Preparation Spray generously over the entire surface. Let the product sit for one (1) minute. Wipe surface dry with a clean microfibre cloth. The underlying surface must be thoroughly cleaned and dried to remove all dirt, debris and wax residue that may hinder Superwrap’s ability to adhere and cause fish eyes during installation. Do not sand the surface prior to application. Make sure to thoroughly dry the gap between the tire and the wheel.

Use only when temperature of both the aerosol can and surface are above 20°C.

    • MASKING

Extensively mask off surrounding areas (including tires, valve stems, inner-wheel barrel, etc.) to avoid overspray. Use a plastic card or your finger to tuck the tape into the gap between the tire and the wheel.

    • Common Issues

      • Leftover tire-shine, wax, soap or moisture on the surface prior to spraying will cause lack of adherence and fish eyes which results in bubbling and eventual tearing of the Superwrap finish.

    • FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY TO GET THE SIGNATURE SUPERWRAP FINISH

Shake can vigorously for one full minute before spraying. Do not spray in breezy, humid or sunny conditions. Test spray away from the surface you are spraying before each coat.

Apply a light first coat. Inspect the first coat for signs of surface contamination. Hold can upright and 8 to 12 inches from surface. Moving the can back and forth, overlap each stroke to get an even and wet appearance. Establish a repeatable pattern when spraying your wheels to make sure you thoroughly cover all spokes and areas of your wheels. Allow a 10 to 15 minute drying period between coats. Apply 10 wet coats for optimal durability.

Always follow the base coat recommendations per colors.
Please see the Installation Chart for the number of cans needed or Shop by kits.

Keep fingertip away from nozzle tip to avoid creating droplets.
Avoid excess overlapping and spraying too close to prevent drips and sags.

    • TOP COAT INSTRUCTIONS

The previously applied Superwrap Gloss, Metallic or Liquid Metallic Series must have dried for at least 1 hour before proceeding with the application of Superwrap High Gloss or Frozen Top Coat. Make sure the surface is clean and free of any dust. Avoid sunlight, high humidity and breeze conditions. Use at room temperature for best results (70°F, 21°C).

Shake can vigorously for one full minute before spraying. Apply a light first coat. Apply two (2) wet coats. Wait 10 to 15 minutes between coats. Hold can upright 8 to 12 inches from the surface.

    • UNMASKING

Remove masking tape once the final coat is dry. Carefully take off the masking tape pulling away from the surface. If needed, use a card to carefully crease the tape. Allow 6 to 12 hours final drying period before reinstalling your wheels and driving.

    • COMMON ISSUES

      • If your nozzle is clogged, remove any dry paint that may have accumulated on the nozzle tip. Turn the can upside down and spray for 5 seconds to purge the nozzle.
      • Bubbles or fish eyes are cause by surface contamination such as wax, polishes or acids that have not been removed during preparation.
    • SURFACE COMPATIBILITY

      • ALWAYS TEST ON AN INCONSPICUOUS AREA BEFORE APPLYING. IF YOUR WHEELS AND ACCESSORIES HAVE BEEN REPAINTED WITHIN THE LAST 90 DAYS, DO NOT APPLY SUPERWRAP. DO NOT APPLY SUPERWRAP ON NON-CLEARCOATED SURFACES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO VINYL WRAPS, STICKERS, RAW PLASTICS, RAW BADGES AND PLASTIC CENTER CAPS. IF YOUR WHEELS ARE AFTERMARKET, TEST ON AN INCONSPICUOUS AREA FIRST TO DETERMINE SURFACE COMPATIBILITY. IF YOU ARE UNSURE WHETHER YOUR SURFACE IS CLEARCOATED, WE RECOMMEND YOU CONTACT YOUR LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO CONFIRM.
      • ONLY APPLY SUPERWRAP TOP COAT SERIES OVER SUPERWRAP GLOSS, METALLIC OR LIQUID METALLIC SERIES THAT MEETS THE MINIMUM REQUIRED THICKNESS OF TEN (10) WET COATS. APPLYING THE TOP COAT OVER SUPERWRAP GLOSS, METALLIC OR LIQUID METALLIC SERIES THAT IS NOT THICK ENOUGH WILL COMPROMISE REMOVABILITY. ONLY APPLY OVER SUPERWRAP GLOSS, METALLIC OR LIQUID METALLIC SERIES THAT HAS BEEN DRIED FOR AT LEAST ONE (1) HOUR.

    • TECH TIPS

      • BEFORE SPRAYING THE FACE OF THE WHEEL, APPLY 3-4 COATS ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE EDGES OF YOUR RIM SPOKES. THEY WILL DRASTICALLY REDUCE THE POTENTIAL CHANCES OF HAVING THE DIP ON THE EDGE OF YOUR WHEEL BARREL LIFT WHEN PUT UNDER HIGH WATER PRESSURE.
    • FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

      • Q: Do I really need a base coat for the Metallic Series?

A: The Base Coat is crucial when it comes to getting the proper finish and expected product durability/peelability.

      • Q: Why do I experience bubbling of Superwrap during installation and how can I fix it?

A: The formation of bubbles during installation is actually called fisheyes. They are the result of surface contamination due to insufficient cleaning and drying of the surface.
We recommend doing a light first coat, commonly called a check coat, to look for fisheyes. If there are any signs of fisheyes, wipe down the surface, thoroughly clean and dry the surface and reapply Superwrap.

      • Q: I am experiencing drips and sags, how can I avoid it?

A: Make sure to respect the 10 to 20 minutes drying time between each coat and to spray 8 to 12 inches away from the surface.

      • Q: I am not getting the Superwrap signature finish, why?

A: To get Superwrap’s signature finish, increase overlap on the last few coats and focus on getting a wet and even appearance.

      • Q: Can I use Superwrap aerosols to paint my hood, roof or my whole car?

A: No, we do not recommend using Superwrap Do-It-Yourself Aerosols to cover your hood, roof or your whole car as the surface is too large to evenly apply Superwrap.

      • Q: How do I get rid of overspray?

A: You can use common spray gel stain removal and adhesive removers to get rid of Superwrap overspray.

      • Q: Can I apply Superwrap to emblems, badges and window trims?

A: When it comes to emblems and badges, it is important to first test the surface compatibility with Superwrap. Emblems are made of a variety of different plastics, composites and metals across different manufacturers.

Once you’ve tested the surface, either remove the emblem (when possible), or thoroughly mask off the section leaving only the emblem or badge exposed. When applying the tape, make sure that the tape does not come into contact with the surface you’re going to spray. It is also critical to remove the masking tape immediately after spraying your final coat by pulling away the tape from the area you sprayed.

For situations where the tape is directly touching your Superwrap finish, cut the edges using a spudge tool or plastic card, then proceed with removing the tape.

      • Q: My Gloss color is drying to a matte finish, why?

A: The only circumstances upon which our Gloss Series will dry to a matte finish is when you apply Superwrap in a high humidity environment.

If this happens to you, do not untape or peel the application. We recommend you wait until humidity levels lowers to continue or finish the application.

  • Step 3 Maintain
    • MAINTAIN

Only use Superwrap maintenance products in order to properly maintain your premium finish. Use of unapproved products may damage your Superwrap finish.

Visit our STORE section for more information.

    • TECH TIPS

      • Superwrap maintenance products can be safely used on Superwrap as well as your original paint and parts.
      • Avoid gas drips as it may stain your Superwrap finish.
    • TOUCH-UP

      SCRATCHES/STAINS
If your Superwrap surface becomes scratched or stained, touch-up the imperfection by applying enough coats to color-match the affected area. Usually 2 to 4 coats would suffice to hide the scratch or stain.

      CHIPS
If your Superwrap surface becomes chipped, touch-up the imperfection by applying a minimum of 6 coats to repair the affected area.

      TEARS
If your Superwrap surface becomes torn, it is a clear sign that preparation of your surface was not optimal or Superwrap was not applied thick enough. We recommend peeling the entire wheel or accessory and respraying the wheel or accessory.

    • TECH TIPS

      • IF YOUR SUPERWRAP FINISH IS TORN OR DAMAGED, DO NOT EXPOSE THE AFFECTED SURFACE TO HIGH WATER PRESSURE AS IT WILL COMPROMISE SUPERWRAP'S ADHERENCE.
    • FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

      • Q: Can I pressure wash my Superwrap Sprayable Wrap?

A: Superwrap finishes can be pressure washed as long as the coating is not torn or chipped. Excessive pressure may damage the Superwrap paint. Avoid spraying the edges of the film as it may cause lifting.

      • Q: Can I go through automatic car washes?

A: We do not recommend going through automatic car washes. Many customers have gone through touch-less traditional car washes without any issues, however given there is no general standardization for pressure, soaps and waxes used, we suggest caring for your Superwrap surface yourself with Superwrap Maintenance Products.

  • Step 4 Peel
    • PEELING SUPERWRAP IS QUICK AND EASY

Work an edge until the coat begins to lift, then slowly work your way around the wheel or accessory. Superwrap will come off in large pieces when properly applied. Most wheels will peel under 10 minutes. If needed, use a power washer to remove the small pieces that could be remaining on the surface. No solvent is required.

    • TECH TIPS

      • Use a plastic card to remove leftover product in hard to reach areas.
